Obituary
Paul Manuel Sanroma, passed away on April 19, 2022, his 86th birthday, at CareOne at Newton. He was the husband of the late Edna M. (Hikel) Sanroma.
Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late John B. Sanroma and Maude H. (Sisson) Sanroma. He is survived by his sister Carolyn LeBeau and her husband Edward of AZ; his brother Joseph Sanroma and his wife Christine of Newton, MA, and was the brother of the late John Sanroma. He also leaves behind 14 nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews.
He attended Boston College and Northeastern University and was a computer engineer. He was employed by GW Dahl, Texas Instruments, and the MIT Meteorological Department before retiring.
He was a member of the Bristol Yacht Club, the home for his passion, sailing, and an instructor for the local Power Squadron. Paul served in the Army SP4 Intelligence and was an accomplished cellist who was asked to play at college events in Boston. He achieved what one in one hundred Boy Scouts inspire to become, an Eagle Scout.
Funeral Services
A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, April 29th, 2-4 PM at the Bristol Yacht Club, Poppasquash Road, Bristol.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, May 2nd, 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 1317 Center Street, Newton, MA. Click here for map.
